Project Manager

Summary

A highly visible supply chain role that will oversee the divisional demand planning (forecasting and inventory) requirements process. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing Demand Plan and inventory plans that will enable the division to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing, and customer support teams is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives

Position Description:

Responsibilities of the Project Manager would include working on consulting projects in the areas of purchasing, supply chain management, business process outsourcing, and technology.

Some of the responsibilities of the position include:

  • Working closely with senior management and clients to create customized purchasing proposals
  • Analyzing client spend data and creating deliverables for the project
  • Introducing suppliers to the client's purchasing needs, eSourcing process, and proprietary sourcing and supply chain technology
  • Understanding client needs to provide flawless service
  • Assisting with sales and business development activities
  • Managing and guide junior staff located in the US and India
  • Working with Corporate Communications to increase awareness of our services
  • Working with senior management to develop selling tools for key clients
  • Working with senior management to develop growth strategy and plans

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Candidates should have a very strong undergraduate academic record with a B.A. or B.S from a top-tier school. Superior quantitative, analytical, and communication skills are a must. Academic, extracurricular, or work experience in business, Internet, or relevant industry areas is a plus.

Proficient in MS Office applications including: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (ability to create formulas and to analyze data is required, and candidates should include this experience on their resumes or cover letter). Fluency in multiple languages is a plus. Prior project and client management experience is a plus. The candidate must see himself/herself in a senior management position within 3 to 4 years.
